Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is an international fellowship that “enables its members to stay sober and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.” AA’s Twelve Traditions help the fellowship remain stable and unified while disengaged from “outside issues” and external influences.
Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a “nonprofit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem”. NA uses an expanded and developed version of the traditional 12-step model to help people with diverse substance abuse issues.
